"Homesickness is a blessing"

So this week I have been super duper Homesick for different reasons and my trainer in her infinite wisdom shared with me a talk that her young womens leader had sent her during her mission. I cant remember it fully but the jest of it was. The feeling of homesickness is a blessing because the love we have for our families is what pushes us. We don't remember the PreMortal life because if we did we would have never grown. and feeling the spirit can be related to the feeling of missing home.. when we learn about the gospel and about our heavenly fathers love we feel something.. we cant quite explain it but the closest thing that this sister had to relate it to was our spirits our home sick and we remember just a little bit of what home felt like. I know i didn't do the letter justice but it made me feel really good inside I hope i didn't butcher it to horribly. I have a poem that i finally found it was given in one of the talks at the MTC and I found it! Ah excited!

Father, where shall I work today'
And my love flowed warm and free.
Then He pointed me out a tiny spot,
And said,"Tend that for me."

I answered quickly,"Oh no, not that.
Why, no one would ever see,
No matter how well my work was done.
Not that little place for me!"

And the word He spoke, it was not stern,
He answered me tenderly,
"Ah,little one, search that heart of thine;
Art thou working for them or me'

Nazareth was a little place,
And so was Galilee."

How amazing that poem is is just ahhh lol I felt a little bummed that I didnt go over seas for different reasons but when this poem was read I sat up and I sat not proud cause pride is bad but I was very well pleased that I had been called to Carlsbad and It has been AMAZING!! I Love all of you sooo stinking much and I miss you all too sorry this week is so scattered its been a weird one but hopefully more updates later !

 All my love

Sincerely Sister Prather
