Sis. Larson & Sis. Prather at Zone Activity

Transfers happened!!!

She has officially transferred to "Twin Oaks Valley" in San Marcos, California!!!  She is now in a Bike mission and had to say goodbye to the car she was comfortable driving in...lol...After she bought her bike everyone told her, "Oh, dear that's the worse one you could have chose, I am so sorry for you!"  Soooooooo, I have a strange feeling I'm gonna have to be getting a new bike again in a few months?  I'm not sure where Twin Oaks Valley is or if that is her new Ward, or what it is like other than she has reported she is no longer by the Ocean and she misses it so very much!!!  She said it is definitely inland and super ugly compared to the Ocean side of things...lol...Her New Companion is Sis. Larsen!  I'm glad it's winter so we shouldn't have to worry so much about fires right now?  She is missing Sister Forsyth dearly as I knew she would, but I know in time she will continue going forward as we all have to and get into her niche soon enough.  I can't wait to hear the funny stories that will start coming forth with her new companion so to start off her is one...

I have one story to share for this week...
She said that, "While I was out I contacted a drunk Mexican man and I did my best to contact in Spanish but it didn't go so well and Lord only knows what I actually said...lol...so anyways he felt bad for me I think and tried giving me a huge hug and it lets just say it was super wierd!!!  Hahaha...Well more to come in the upcoming weeks as we get to know our new area.  Take care and I Love all of Y'all and I'm missin' yous like CRAZY!!!  I gtg "time is up!" UGH...until next time say safe and be good!

Will I live to 100 years old?

Hi Mom,

Sorry this is so short...I am really worried mom...I found that transfers are next week and I really don't want Sis. Forsyth to leave.  Even though I know its her time to go home spending 86 days together and bonding is not going to be easy to say good-bye!   She has been so amazing with all she has taught me and I also found out I am going to be TRAINING someone new!!!  With that said, that wouldn't be so bad/hard if I was staying in this area, however I also found out that I am White-Washing into my new area (that means I am getting sent to a brand new area that neither me nor my companion know anything about it and have to learn and grow together to understand it and experience it) and I am so freaking out!!!  I can't believe I am ready for this because I don't feel like I am.  I am glad Heavenly Father knows better then me I guess I need to have more faith and believe it myself....
Maybe that is what I'm supposed to feel to stay humble?  I know I will get through it somehow but it just really stinks.  Our baptism was also cancelled...she wasn't ready and I understand, but it was still disappointing for us.  We have planted many seeds and the work is true and will continue to go forward.  Hope to have lots more for you next time!!!

So I met a man this week who is 100 years old is well on his way to 101 years in February.   He was the sweetest old man and He was smart as a whip! He is sharing with me his life story that was made into a scrapbook from the day he was born all the way to his 80th Birthday! He served in the war and talked to me about what it was like over in Germany He was sooo cool!
I was on Splits with Sis. Edgecomb and she was so amazing!!!  I just love her so much. We fell in love with this gentleman so very much...I could have listened to him all day!!!    You would love it here!!!
All my love,

Love, Sis. Angellica Prather
He was reading us his bio out of his special book on his lap.

A man and a rock

Heavenly Father asks us to do things so that we may become stronger. He knows that we aren't perfect He Never expects us to be. All he asks is that we do our very best and we will be blessed! He knows our efforts, our struggles and  our weaknesses but He also knows our strengths. Let him make your weaknesses become your strengths. He cares way more about your Direction than Your Speed!

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room
filled with light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man he
had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his
cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock
   with all his might.

This the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from
sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold,
massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might.

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling
that his whole day had been spent in vain. Seeing that the man was
showing signs of discouragement, Satan decided to enter the picture by
placing thoughts into the man's mind:

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling
that his whole day had been spent in vain. Seeing that the man was
showing signs of discouragement, Satan decided to enter the picture by
placing thoughts into the man's mind:

"You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it
hasn't budged. Why kill yourself over this? You are never going to
move it." Thus giving the man the impression that the task was
impossible and that he was a failure, these thoughts discouraged and
disheartened the "Why kill myself over this?" he thought.
"I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort and
   that will be good enough."

And that he planned to do until one day he decided to make it a
matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.
"Lord", he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service,
putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet,
after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a
millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you
to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push
against the rock with all your strength, which you have done.
Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your
task was to push. And now you come to me, with your strength spent,
thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so?
"Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back
sinewed and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure,
and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you
have grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have.

Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient
and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. This
you have done. "I, my friend, will now move the rock."

Investigators are the best!!!

This week has been amazing I don't have a ton of time because my stupid computer wouldn't load and we are going to Lego land for free as a district!!! I loved conference and Elder Holland's talk was soooo powerful! I cried and I just wanted to hug you like crazy!
I felt that the prophets were telling me that its okay everything will work out God will take care of you and my family!!! This last week was awesome! We had zone conference and that was great and we went to go meet with our investigator and we had all thought maybe we should move on but it was my turn to lead with everything so I was going to start with the Restoration, but I stopped and said Jane (name changed for privacy) what is holding you back from being Baptized? and she said she didn't feel ready yet to be baptized and I just had the feeling to do something so I pulled out my planner and I asked her the baptismal interview questions! and she passed so me and sister Forsyth looked at her and said, "You are ready!" so I told her we are having a baptismal service on the 16th and told her she needs to be ready for that date! and she agreed!!!!!!!! Then we wanted her to come to conference so Saturday after the sessions we went to her house and invited her and she was actually excited Mom I almost cried!  I love sharing the gospel and seeing it change lives when others commit to following our Savior.  She came to conference and felt the spirit!!!  Please pray she stays strong!!!   I love you, I will send you pictures later this week!!!

Love Sis. Prather
